Goldman Sachs raises London office capacity to 30%

Goldman has now overtaken US rivals with its return to office plans in London. The bank employs about 6,000 in the City

Goldman Sachs has continued to ramp up staff numbers in its UK headquarters and is currently leading the way among its Wall Street peers for getting employees back to the office in the City.

The US bank now has 30% of its staff back in its London headquarter in Plumtree Court near St Paul's cathedral, Chief Executive David Solomon told analysts during its third-quarter earnings call. This is up from around 25% in recent weeks, with Goldman employing around 6,000 staff in the City.
