Goldman Sachs is embarking on a hiring spree to boost its services to hedge funds after losing staff following the departure of Alex Ehrlich, former head of prime brokerage, for UBS last year.
Goldman has made several appointments to its prime brokerage, hedge fund and equity finance teams in the past month. Matt Jaume, former head of the European internal financing desk, assumes responsibility for risk management for hedge fund clients. He replaces Bernard Minsky, who left to join International Asset Management, a fund of hedge funds group, last month.
