Around half of Goldman Sachs employees in key locations are working regularly in the office after the US banking giant ramped up its return plans in the past few weeks.
David Solomon, the chief executive of Goldman Sachs who has long called for a return to office even as rivals have rolled out flexible working, said that 50% of employees were back in New York, Dallas, Salt Lake City and Hong Kong. Around 45% of the 5,000 or so staff at its London headquarters at Plumtree Court are now back in the office, according to a person familiar with the matter.
