One of Goldman Sachs's top trading executives is moving to London from New York, people familiar with the matter said, in a bid to round out his management experiences at the Wall Street firm.
Ashok Varadhan, co-head of Goldman's flagship securities division, which houses the New York firm's stock and bond trading desks, is following a path well-worn by many of its senior leaders. Lloyd Blankfein, Goldman's chairman and chief executive, and Gary Cohn, its president, each logged time at the firm's London office earlier in their careers.
