The Goldman Sachs banker who led the team advising UK retailer Alliance Boots on its takeover by private equity house Kohlberg Kravis Roberts has been promoted as part of a shake-up of the bank's UK investment banking team.

Simon Dingemans, formerly head of UK investment banking, has been moved to focus on client relationships and major transactions in the UK and continental Europe.
