Goldman and UBS miss out on Anglo's pot of gold

Advisers, which also include Rothschild, to miss out on as much as $25m in fees after AngloGold Ashanti's spin-off of international assets falls through

Goldman Sachs, UBS and Rothschild could have missed out on up to $25 million in fees after the proposed spin-off of AngloGold Ashanti fell through less than a week after being announced.

The South African-based miner said last Wednesday that it had planned a $2.1 billion rights issue and would spin off its international assets into a London-listed company, Newco.
