Goldman Sachs' top banker in Europe is confident about the future of a European Union without the UK - so long as its two largest economies, Germany and France, are able to work together.
Speaking on a company podcast this week, Richard Gnodde, the head of Goldman Sachs International and co-chief of its investment banking division, called the success of French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron in last weekend's first-round election a "market-friendly result".
