Gore calls for sustainable investment vision

Pension fund investors should pay asset managers on three-year pay scales in order to better meet their liabilities and help save the planet, according to former US vice-president Al Gore.

Gore, also chairman of sustainable asset manager Generation Investment Management, told the National Association of Pension Funds conference that most fund managers' time horizons were too short, which was an obstacle to them tackling long-term problems such as climate change.
