Government preparing for Covid-19 jab to arrive ‘within a matter of weeks’, says Matt Hancock

Flu jabs will be free for those aged over 50 come 1 December

The government and the NHS are working to deliver Covid-19 and flu vaccinations “within a matter of weeks” and “in parallel”, health secretary Matt Hancock has said.

As of 1 December, anyone over 50 can get a flu jab for free for the first time, with the NHS having procured twice as many jabs this year up to 30 million.
