Government to decide on hotel quarantine for incoming travellers to the UK today

Prime Minister Boris Johnson will be discussing quarantine hotels at the cabinet’s Covid-O strategy meeting

The government will announce later on 26 January the details of a decision on imposing a mandatory quarantine period in hotels for UK arrivals.

Vaccine minister Nadhim Zahawi said a review was being carried out on the UK’s border policy with regards to quarantine hotels. This comes after an 8 January decision to implement pre-departure testing.
