Government won’t rule out imposing fourth tier of restrictions, says Matt Hancock

The health secretary told the BBC Breakfast show that 'we take nothing off the table'

UK health secretary Matt Hancock said the government won’t rule out a fourth tier in the Covid-19 restrictions in the country.

“We have said all along that we take nothing off the table,” Hancock told BBC Breakfast on 26 October when asked if the government was considering a tier four, which would see the introduction of even stricter Covid-19 restrictions than the three existing levels – “medium”, “high” and “very high”.
