Green ex-Shell boss joins Hermes’ ethics team

Sir Mark Moody-Stuart, the former oil company boss who famously advocated a ban on "gas-guzzlers" in favour of more fuel efficient vehicles, has taken the chair of institutional investor Hermes' ethics council to promote responsible company ownership to pension schemes.

Moody-Stuart has been appointed as chairman of Hermes Equity Ownership Services, the fund's corporate governance arm, according to a statement released today.
