Greenberg family moves into private equity

Two private equity houses seeking opportunities in asset management have been set up by friends of former insurance industry leader Maurice ‘Hank' Greenberg and his son Jeffrey.

DLB Capital is co-led by Douglas Brown, former vice-chairman of Morgan Stanley, who used to advise insurance company AIG. Hank Greenberg chaired AIG before he was ousted over the regulatory issues that bedevilled the US insurance sector in 2005.
