Greenfield Capital continues TV buy and build

Greenfield Capital Partners, a Dutch private equity firm, has bought the Netherlands arm of French pay-TV operator Canal Plus from Vivendi Universal as part of its plan to create a dominant local multi-media operator. The deal price was not disclosed.

The Greenfield consortium includes Airbridge Investments, a management buy-in team of three cable entrepreneurs headed by Hans Wolfert, one of its partners and the new chairman of Canal Plus Netherlands.
