Greenhill chief calm on volatility and Blackstone

Scott Bok's firm more than doubled revenues in the third quarter and the Greenhill CEO says a strong finish to 2014 is on the cards

The chief executive of independent US adviser Greenhill & Co is sanguine about the current spike in market volatility and arrival of a new competitor on his patch, where he said revenues still have room to grow from a stellar third quarter.

Scott Bok was speaking after a quarter in which his own firm more than doubled year-on-year revenues to $92 million, and rival independent advisers Lazard and Evercore both posted impressive Q3 figures.
