Nick Greenwood will be the new manager of the league-topping Solus UK special situations fund, following ABN Amro's decision to recall star manager Nigel Thomas.

Greenwood, 43, is not a recognised name in retail fund management despite having 20 years' experience in the funds industry. He has been a pension fund manager with the T&N pension scheme and also worked for National Mutual Life Assurance.
