SEC’s top market data expert leaving agency

The Securities and Exchange Commission’s top market data expert, who played a key role in efforts to ratchet up oversight of computer driven trading, is leaving the agency.

Gregg Berman, who runs an internal analytics and research office at the SEC, plans to step down later this month, the commission announced Wednesday. Berman hasn't indicated where he plans to go next.
