Keir Starmer, shadow secretary of state for exiting the European Union, has said there is a “growing consensus” in the UK Parliament behind a second public vote on Brexit — one that could open the door to its reversal.

Speaking at the Labour Party’s annual conference in Brighton, Starmer said: “There’s a growing consensus in Parliament that whatever the outcome now... it has to go to some sort of confirmatory vote.”
