Wealth growth slowed to a trickle last year, following shrinkage in the US, western Europe and Japan

Wealth growth slowed to a trickle last year following shrinkage in the US, Western Europe and Japan, according to a survey by Boston Consulting Group.

Worldwide private wealth increased by 1.9% to $122.8 trillion, compared with growth of 6.8% in 2010. The latest growth figure is the worst since 2008, when the credit crisis cut the total by 8.1%.
