GSAM replaces Janus on $2bn US equity mandate

American Skandia has chosen Goldman Sachs Asset Management to run mandates worth nearly $2bn (€2.05bn), replacing Janus Capital Corporation as its large and mid-cap growth sub-advisor.

William Blair & Company, an independent investment firm based in Chicago, has also been selected to manage an international growth portfolio worth more than $523m, which was also previously run by Janus.
