Gwynedd council pension fund appoints custodian

The £500m (€800m) Cyngor Gwynedd Council pension fund in the UK has decided to use a global custodian and has appointed Northern Trust to fill the role.

Northern Trust is providing core custody and reporting services for the fund. Northern Trust offers online reporting through its Passport package, but Gwynedd opted for the less expensive monthly, paper-based reporting. It has also contracted for Northern Trust to manage its cash.
