Half of women in private equity would consider leaving the industry

Discontent has risen despite firms' push for gender equality

Half of the women in private equity would consider leaving the industry, according to a new survey that showed rising dissatisfaction despite buyout firms’ efforts to become more diverse.

According to a survey of 289 women and men in private equity, 50% of women would consider going to work in another industry, compared with just 22% of men, said the report released by investment bank Investec and asset management consultancy MJ Hudson.
