Halfords re-thinks sale options

Halfords, the UK car accessories chain, is now re-thinking whether flotation is its best option despite having appointed two leading investment banks last month to prepare for an initial public offering. It is talking to third parties about other strategic options.

Merrill Lynch and Citigroup were selected just last month as joint bookrunners for the Halfords issue, targeted to take place before the end of June.
