The owner of Britain’s biggest shopping centres also said it was mulling over a possible equity raise

Hammerson, which owns some of Britain’s biggest shopping centres, told investors that it is in talks to sell its 50% stake in the private equity fund VIA Outlets to €516bn Dutch pension fund group APG.

The property company, which owns London’s Brent Cross shopping centre, has been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic and ensuing national lockdown.
