Health secretary Matt Hancock is to lead a press conference from Downing Street later on 25 January, after it emerged that the government may be considering the relaxation of some lockdown measures prior to its 15 February review date.

Hancock will be flanked at the 5pm event by deputy medical officer Jenny Harries and Susan Hopkins from Public Health England at the 5pm conference.
