Handelsbanken Securities, the investment banking arm of the Swedish bank, has made senior hires in London and New York in an expansion of its equities business outside the Nordic region.

Angus McNeilage joins as head of European equities in London from HSBC Securities. McNeilage left HSBC in January after 18 years with the bank and in his last role was joint head of European equity sales. At Handelsbanken he will be responsible for sales, trading and equity capital markets, which comprises about 15 people in London.
