Harald Mix's debut buy-out fund overshoots target

Altor Equity Partners, a new Nordic private equity firm set up by former Industri Kapital frontman Harald Mix, has been oversubscribed for its debut fund, closing with commitments of €650m ($765m).

The fund attracted interest from some of Europe's largest and most influential investors, including NIB Capital Private Equity, Allianz Capital, Standard Life Investments, Goldman Sachs Private Equity Group and Pantheon Ventures. One third of commitments came from Europe, with a quarter from the Nordic region and 40% from the US.
