Private equity fund of funds group HarbourVest raised $300m (€205m) in an initial public offering of its Global Private Equity fund on Amsterdam's Euronext exchange this morning, demonstrating public appetite for private equity remains despite the poor performance of similar listed funds

However, the amount was less than originally targeted. The group revealed plans for the listing in September but was forced to revise its target from $400m to $300m due to the market downturn.
