Hard graft starts to pay off for Microsoft

Software provider uses its advantage to enter financial services sector

Microsoft, the global software provider that has spent the past two years looking at financial services, is beginning to see results from its work. A deal earlier this month with the London Stock Exchange (LSE) offered the US group a stamp of approval.

Microsoft Windows technology is well known on desktops and Microsoft NT – now called Windows Server 2003 – is dominant in network servers.
