A system failure suspended futures trading on Euronext.Liffe in London and Paris for more than three hours on Wednesday afternoon.

Euronext.Liffe said it was the first hardware failure since Liffe Connect launched five years ago. There was a hardware problem in the servers that host futures trading on Liffe Connect for Financials service, but equities trading is hosted by a different system and was not affected.
