The UK retail fund supermarket Hargreaves Lansdown has hired the former finance chief of Jupiter Fund Management.

Philip Johnson, who helped oversee Jupiter's initial public offering in 2010, has been named as chief financial officer of Hargreaves Lansdown after a "thorough search and assessment" process, according to a statement.
