Kate Harper has left Northern Trust Global Investments to join Franklin Templeton Institutional, the subsidiary of US-based fund manager Franklin Templeton Investments, as director of UK sales and marketing.

Harper replaces William Babtie, who has moved to the newly created role of global head of consultant relations. She will report to David Smart, managing director, EMEA region at Franklin Templeton Institutional, and will focus on the UK corporate pension fund sector.
