Harris and Nomura hatch new plan for Manchester United

Nomura, Japan's biggest bank, and Keith Harris, chairman of Seymour Pierce, are working on a new plan to block a takeover of Manchester United by Malcolm Glazer, the US leisure entrepreneur.

It has abandoned plans to launch a £200m (€289m) securitisation package designed to thwart Glazer's attack.
