The Hampton-Alexander Review into gender diversity in senior company positions has laid bare the scale of how UK business is failing women, and ultimately our economy.
The modest progress of female non-executives on company boards masks the fact that there are now just 12 women chief executives in the FTSE 350, down from 15 in 2017. It also distracts us from understanding that now, well into the 21st century, 50 companies in the FTSE 350 have all-male executive committees.
