Hawkpoint appoints Reid Scott as chairman

David Reid Scott, the former deputy head of European investment banking at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, is joining UK-based corporate finance house Hawkpoint Partners as chairman. He quit Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was a vice-chairman of investment banking, last week.

Reid Scott, 53, was one of the founding partners of Phoenix Securities, a boutique that specialised in the financial services sector, in the early 1980s and has since established a formidable reputation as a dealmaker.
