Gilles du Fretay, founder and chief executive of HDF Finance, wants to take advantage of growing institutional demand for fund of hedge fund products in Europe, after winning a mandate from the French Atomic Energy Commission.

His Paris-based firm also has partnerships with insurance company Axa and ABN Amro.
