Shellie Unger, who took over as head of Vanguard Investments' European business six months ago, will give up the role in September.

Joanne Voelker, a principal in Vanguard's client relationships group in the US, is succeeding her as managing director for Europe and will move to Brussels, the mutual fund group's European headquarters. Unger was based in the US throughout her time as head of Europe.
