Some of the UK's biggest investors have met with the prime minister and chancellor to discuss how to encourage hundreds of millions of pounds' worth of investment into some of Britain's most innovative companies.

Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak chaired a roundtable in Downing Street on 24 November with around 20 representatives from the asset management, venture capital, and insurance industries in attendance, Financial News understands.
