Hedge fund flows hit February lows

Inflows amount to just a 'trickle' as investors show their frustration with performance

Hedge funds worldwide attracted just $4.4 billion of new assets in February after investors became increasingly frustrated with performance, according to data firm eVestment. Total global hedge fund assets fell to $2.94 trillion after performance losses of $24.5 billion.

Hedge fund investment traditionally rises in February, averaging $22.4 billion for each February between 2010 and 2015.
