Prominent hedge fund manager Pierre Andurand has dismissed the UK government’s efforts to contain the coronavirus in the bluntest of terms, labelling Westminster’s response to the mounting crisis akin to “mass murder”.
Andurand, the French head of UK-based Andurand Capital Management, made the comment in a Twitter discussion on the impact of the Covid-19 respiratory illness on 13 March.
