Hedge funds struggle to raise Ucits funds

Hedge funds are finding it more difficult than traditional asset managers to raise money for new UK funds aimed at increasing liquidity and transparency, despite their stronger performance.

London-based fund marketer Kepler Partners, which drew up a universe of 109 Ucits hedge funds that can be sold in the UK, found that traditional asset managers with a background in offering products to retail investors were finding it easier to raise money for the funds.
