A major trade union believes 30 high-profile fund managers are breaching the UK Stewardship Code

Hedge funds accused of non-compliance with FCA stewardship rules

A major trade union is preparing to report several well-known hedge fund and asset managers to the UK financial regulator, claiming they are not complying with a code meant to improve investor engagement and risk management.

The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) believes 30 high-profile fund managers are breaching the UK Stewardship Code. The code was established in the wake of the financial crisis to improve investor communications with companies.
