The global trade body for hedge funds is fighting to be included in a regulatory task force set up to make investment fees more transparent, following news the group could reveal new standards as soon as January.

The Alternative Investment Management Association, which counts around 2,000 hedge funds among its members, has been unrepresented in the fee transparency conversation since the Institutional Disclosure Working Group was set up by the Financial Conduct Authority in August.
