Investors poured money into hedge funds in the third quarter, leading the industry to reap its first quarterly net inflows since the first three months of 2018.

The gains, said research firm HFR, were driven by "strong performance through the coronavirus pandemic volatility and positioning for continued uncertainty around both the virus and the upcoming US elections."
