Hedge funds worldwide have posted their best performance in over two years, capitalising on the rebound in equity prices, according to figures from Van Hedge Fund Advisors, the consultant and index provider.

The Van Hedge global hedge fund index gained 2.6% net of fees in April, taking their year-to-date gains to 3.3%.
