Hedge funds reject calls for more disclosure

The Alternative Investment Management Association, the trade body for the hedge fund industry, has asked the UK's Financial Services Authority to exempt hedge funds from detailed transaction cost disclosure requirements.

The call has come in response to a policy statement the FSA issued in November proposing enhanced disclosure to investors of broker commissions paid by hedge fund managers.
