Baroness Helena Morrissey, one of the City’s most prominent figures, is to step down from her board position at St James's Place to chair online investment platform AJ Bell — just 14 months after her appointment as a non-executive director at the UK wealth manager.

In a statement on 16 March, Manchester headquartered AJ Bell said Baroness Morrissey would join its board as a non-executive director, with the intention to succeed Les Platts as chair at the company's next annual general meeting in January 2022.
