Dame Helena Morrissey, one of the City's most recognisable figures, has pulled her personal investment from a lauded gender diversity fund she helped launch three years ago, ahead of it being merged away due to a lack of investor interest.

The L&G Future World Gender in Leadership UK index fund, launched to fanfare in 2018 by Morrissey when she was head of personal investing at Legal & General Investment Management, received £50m of seed capital from the UK investment giant and was the first to champion gender diversity in British companies.
