Legal & General Investment Management has announced that City grandee Dame Helena Morrissey is to leave the business to “pursue other opportunities”.

Her exit comes just over two years after Morrissey joined the UK fund manager to spearhead its personal investing business. She took on the newly created role in May 2017 following a 15-year stint as chief executive of Newton Investment Management.
