Hemsley pay tops £1m at Numis

Bonus payouts for top staff came after a year in which Numis generated record revenues

Numis founder Oliver Hemsley earned more than £1 million in pay and bonuses in the 12 months to the end of September, the month he handed on leadership of the stockbroking and corporate finance house.

Numis's latest annual report, covering the firm's financial year to September 30, 2016 and sent to shareholders this week, showed that Hemsley was awarded a £750,000 annual performance bonus on top of his £250,000 salary, with other benefits taking his overall compensation to £1.033 million.
